dependant

This
can
include
simply
designing
schemes
for
necessary
planning
and
building
regulation
approvals
(partial
service)
or
exercising
the
duties
of
Contract
Administrator
under
a
formal
building
contract
(full
service).
We provide a number architectural professional services which
primarily include:
Concept Sketch Design and Feasibility Studies
•
Design appraisal of the site and project brief to identify
at the early stages of the project possible opportunities
and constraints.
•
Creating innovative design solutions to respond to the
challenge of the site and client brief.
•
Seeking pre-application planning advice and dialogue
with the local planning authority or working in
conjunction with a planning consultant.
Planning Applications
•
Preparations of design schemes, drawings and visuals.
•
Produce planning Design & Access Statements.
•
Drafting Heritage Appraisals.
•
Submission of planning applications and appeals if
necessary.
Technical Design & Building Regulations
•
Design and production of detailed technical drawings
and specifications.
•
Liaising with Building Inspector and other professional
consultants, such as the Structural Engineer.
•
Submission of building regulation applications on behalf
of the client
Lead Consultant and Project Management
•
Our services can include a full project management or
lead consultant role on behalf of the client. This
entails assembling a team and coordinating other
consultants for the building project as necessary. These
can include; specialist planning consultants, highway
consultants, ecologists, arboriculturist consultants,
topographical surveyors, archaeologists, engineers, soil
reports etc.
•
As project manager we establish development
programmes, including quality, cost and time control
measures.
•
On occasion we act as Employers Agent under a design
& building contract.
Interior Design
•
We can provide interior design services for both
residential and commercial projects. This includes the
preparation of mood boards, integrating hard and soft
materials and finishes. This usually forms part of the
full service.
Measured Building Surveys
•
Carrying out measured surveys of existing buildings and
production of accurate scaled drawing information.
Quinquennial Inspections
•
Preparing building condition reports on existing
churches, which must be carried out once every 5
years, as per the requirements of the Churches
Measure.
•
The quinquennial report (QR) will give an overview of
the condition of the building and will highlight the
repairs required according to their priority.
CDM - Principal Designer
•
Under the Construction Design and Management (CDM)
regulations 2015, as appointed Principal Designers, we
have an important role in influencing how risks to
health and safety are managed throughout a project.
Design decisions made during the pre-construction
phase have a significant influence in ensuring the
project is delivered in a way that secures the health
and safety of everyone affected by the work.
